MCEDA Director Joe Turnham shared photographs of the ongoing progress of South Alabama Brick Company dba Capital Brick Company.
Turnham, MCEDA and the Macon County Commission worked hard to land this project on Highway 29 near the county border at 40 Quiet Road.
Turnham says the wholesaler of bricks will have a showroom and will inventory 6 million bricks on its lot.
The project is a $5 million new investment in the community and the creation of up to 15 new jobs. It will contribute approximately $100,000 in new local taxes per year. Planned completion is August 2026.
